2007 Work completed
Engine and drivetrain were removed and the fiberglass body was sprayed with undercoating.
The frame was sandblasted and painted.
Custom brackets were fabricated for the gas tank and battery.
The Apex transmission was rebuilt with new bearings and seals.
The tillotson carburator was rebuilt along with new engine gaskets, points, and other parts.
The engine was timed and carburator was tuned.
Drove in winter of 07' for a few days and had fun! The tracks are not in good shape and need attention along with the bogie suspension, the engine is another issue (see below).
The engine overheats but does start and run well. Suspect there may be air leak in the lower end.
2008 Progress
Purchased 2 Identical 440 CC John deere liquifire snowmobiles that need some work. Took out one of the engines and mock fit it into the tracker for now. Not sure where this is going to go.
Removed everything from the lower body and am starting fiberglass repair and paint. See link below
Purchased new tracks, drive sprockets, bearings, and bogie wheels from different sources and will rebuild the suspension complete. See link below
